Week 14

Here we are, at the last post. I cannot believe that it has been 14 weeks for this class. It truly is a new experience for me because I always have trouble with understanding and using technologies. I learn many new things such as creating an awareness video using Powtoon, recorded a Podcast with my partner and many more to be listed! Lastly, we did our quiz via Google Form. Not to forget, here is our elearning using the SmartBuilder -----> Comparative Adjective

I also wanted to say thank you to our lecturer, Madam Azida that has been really supportive, easy going and a great teacher for the past weeks.
This would be my last writing for this semester but hopefully I can maintain to write and share more here in the future.

Goodbye everyone. Our journey may be parting here, but no one knows if we may cross each other path next time?

week 13

SmartBuilder… really is a tough assessment above all that we received. My groupmates and I faced too many difficulties in order to make it happen and successful!
Anyways, we decided to go with the topic ‘Comparative Adjective’ and.. yes the work is still ongoing.

Will update soon with our version of elearning and hopefully it will turn out like the one we drafted. Byee~~

week 12

What’s next? Here is our last topic for this semester which is… SmartBuilder! Basically, it is a software that provides and consults services for creating performance-focused elearning. The SmartBuilder authoring tool empowers instructional designers and developers to rapidly create interactive elearning that include branching scenarios, case exercises, assessments and more.

Two hours in the class is not enough for us to actually learn and digest how to use it. It is very unlucky for me because my PC in the lab has no SmartBuilder L so I had to really focused and shared with my friends next to me. None the less, it is absolutely a whole new world to be engaged with this software. Not easy but definitely interesting.

Had to struggle more with this so see you soon people! Byee~~

week 11

I am back again everyone! Regarding the last post on my blog, we were assigned to create a poster about one of the model for Instructional Design and we got Rapid Prototyping.
Rapid Prototyping is iterative process used to visualize what a website or an application will look like in order to get feedback and validation from users, stakeholders, developers, and designers. It was developed by The Fathers of Modern Prototyping, Hideo Kodama from Japan and Charles Hull from the USA and originated from two main techniques which are topography and photo sculpture. There are three stages of this model which are:-

1.  Prototyping = Create a solution that can be reviewed and tested.
2. Reviewing = Share the prototype with the users and evaluate if it suits their needs and expectations in order to help you understand what’s working well and what’s not.
3. Refining = Based on the feedback, the designer will identify the areas that need to be improved.

So, here is our poster. Till then, byee ~~

week 10

Hello and welcome back everyone. It’s week 9 already and i have a few more weeks to go for this semester. I hope everyone is still following this blog. Today I learned a new topic which is Instructional Design. Instructional Design is creating instructional experiences which make the way of knowledge and skill more efficient, effective, and appealing. It consists of figuring out the needs of the learner, defining the learning objectives, and creating some intervention to achieve objectives.

Do you still remember CALL? Instructional Design also used in CALL by creating computer courseware for learning where courseware acts as supplement or support to lesson and not as complete replace and can be designed for use inside and outside of lesson.
There is framework for the development of instructional coursework which is known as ADDIE model. The acronym ADDIE stands for
Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation
Plus, there are other model too such as GAGNE 9 events, Dick and Carey, Rapid Prototyping , Guaranteed Learning, ASSURE and ARCS Model with different type of approaches and style.

There you go, people. Will catch you soon on the next post! Byee~~

week 9

*Drum rolls*

Here is the outcome of our explainer video. Enjoy everyone!

week 8

Assalamuallaikum and hey there everyone! This week we were assigned with a new assignment which is to create an explainer video. My group consists of three people which are me, Alisa and also Zorif. We chose to create awareness about Medispa since Malaysia happened to be crowded with it in recent years. The script and flow of the video were prepared by me and Alisa while the next task will be completed by Zorif. Hopefully, our explainer video turns out well and delivered our message clear to everyone.

See you soon with our video! Byee ~~
