You never know until you actually try. WOW! It has been a week since my last post. So, as my first sentence goes like that was actually for my Powtoon. We were asked to create our own Powtoon about life goal’s and here is mine....

week 6

Heyy there everyone! I hope everyone still keep in touch with my writing and sharing. As for today, we have new thing to learn and explore. Have you heard about Powtoon? It is an amazing software where animation is use as the main attraction to make people engage with the message. Basically, Powtoon prepared us with the templates and all so what we have to do is simply create a new version of ours! But, using it might not as simple as knowing it. Different people have a different kind of creativity. Try to explore and use it because it is totally free!

week 5

Hello everyone!! So nice to write again. I hope everyone is in good health. So do you remember about Podcast? In order to have clearer audio or edit them, you have to be able to use some amazing tools. There are two tools that can help you. 

Firstly, we have BandLab. BandLab is a social music platform that enables creators to make music and share the creative process with musicians and fans. With a global community of creators and fans that combines music making and collaboration tools like the world’s first cross-platform DAW, with social features like video sharing, messaging and discovery. 

Then, we have Audacity. It is the name of a popular open source multilingual audio editor and recorder software that is used to record and edit sounds. It is free and works on Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux, and others. Audacity can be used to perform a number of audio editing and recording tasks such as making ringtones, mixing stereo tracks, transferring tapes and records to computer or CD, splitting recordings into separate tracks and more!

See? They function really well in order to provide us a very good quality of Podcast. Thus, one may use one of these tools to enhance and edit the audio before uploading.

Assalamuallaikum and hello everyone! Back again with my writing. Today we are going to talk about Podcast. Have your heard or know about it? As for me, I remembered a long time ago when my seniors said that she has a ‘channel’ where she shares many things there. But I was not interested back then. So what really is PODCAST?

Podcast A podcast is an audio and/or video file that ‘broadcast’ via the Internet. It can be downloaded to a computer or mobile device like an MP3 player. The term ‘podcast’ comes from iPod (Apple portable MP3 player) and ‘broadcast’. Interesting isn’t it?

How we can use the Podcast? Firstly, we have to own an audio/recording tools. Maybe online voice recorder or even your smartphone can be used. Then, we need to have audio editing tools such as Audacity or any online audio editor for example, BandLab.

Hello everyone, it is so nice to be able to write back in the blog.

Do you know about Search Engine? or Online Database?? emm maybe CMS and ESL?! hm....

 during my classes in this week, madam Azida taught us about these thing! please allow me to share some of the new knowledge I got. 

Alright, Firstly we have Search Engine. it is a web tool that can make people to search for any keywords. There are four parts of search engine engine which are:-

1. Database =  A storage where all indexed webpages are stored that contains only essential information of a Webpage. This is where the user’s query is matched!

2. Web-Crawlers =  Also known as SPIDER is an automated program or bot and all nformation is indexed and stored in database. It “Crawls” all over the Web Page collecting information such as

•    Keywords
•       Titles
•        Synonyms
•        Access Frequency
•       Relevency

3. User interface  = A user-friendly app/site/page where users may input query and search results are presented 

4. Information Retrieval System = A system used to match the user's query to indexed webpages found in database which results presented in rank according to relevance.

PLUS! There is also CMC. What is CMC? CMC is Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) is any form of communication or interaction between two or more people via separate computers through network connection or any communication patterns mediated through a computer. There are two types of CMC:-

1. Synchronous CMC

• Communication between participants is synchronised
• Messages can be exchanged and replied to immediately (often expected to)
• Allows for direct communication
• Internet chat rooms, messenger, video/audio conferencing

2. Asynchronous CMC where

• Communication is not synchronised
• Messages are not exchanged and replied to immediately (or not expected to)
• E-mails, most social media, internet forums and message boards, blog

Second post is the charm

During those diploma days, I have already been exposed to Computer Assisted Learning Language (CALL) where we were asked to prepare a teaching aid using a computer. But this time, it takes deeper than it already is because Madam Azida finely briefs us about the history, some of the advantages which is that using more creative way of teaching could attract the students' attention, while the disadvantage of using computer and technology especially to the language learner would possibly make them prone to become more passive throughout the learning process. all and all, I really think people out there no matter if they are the learners or a teacher themselves can benefit from CALL as it can be divided into several categories.

Moving on to the next session of the week, I was extremely excited to sign up a new website named Canva! this site helps so much in many amazing ways to produce your own poster, flyers and so much more. You literally have to choose any template to begin with and can start with your creative works. How simple is that?! It really is a new experience for me to explore, try and do some error with the designs.

Hopefully, my interpretation of CALL and Canva could do us some favor in believing that both computer and creative works will definitely chip in into a more extraordinary way of delivering knowledge.

Hello there

First thing first, the name given was Nurul Iman Wahirudin. I am 23 years old this year and still does not have a driving license, yet. I live in a small town Semenyih with my mother and my other seven siblings. Most of my time, I splendidly spend it by watching television. Grey's Anatomy, Gossip Girl, Law & Order and also The Nanny were all my favorite TV shows. Other than that, I love coffee either hot or cold, dogs particularly german shepherd and a long walk by the beach.

To be frank, I am not good at techs and online thingy but the moment I stepped out of the first class, I brought a bundle of new things with me such as how to start blogging with zero knowledge. But not to worry, I will definitely work harder to excel even I felt that this class will be a tough road for me in the first place.

Last but not least, I am expecting to receive more and fresh platforms to enhance my skills in technologies. With a BIG hope that perhaps it can give me a plus point on the next journey of my life.
